A rainy week

This weekend was quite rainy, which made me delay my hiking trip but I used the time to have a look around the city. Rain in Taipei is quite different from Europe. I cant really describe it, but somehow it is not possible to stay dry even with an umbrella. You can compare it to standing under a sprinkler.

On my way to work

One of the parts of my job is to do a research, therefore I have to meet people around Taipei. Baristas in Taipei are incredibly sweet and will try to do their best to make you smile.

Raohe Night Market

My flatmate J. showed me around some more! For the first time since I am here, I saw the night market. It is an amazing experience. So many people enjoying food and the beautiful night together.

Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge is right next to Raohe Night Market and it seems to be a dating place for teenagers. It was really nice to see how the Taiwanese youth sat together, with the food they bought at the night market.

Taiwanese dancing to the Anthem of Europe :D

On my way home I encountered a group of elderly Taiwanese, who where dancing to the Anthem of Europe.
